"There is no darkness other than ignorance", wrote Shakespeare. To eradicate the darkness or fear from the mind ignorance has to be replaced with knowledge. Education is the only way. An educated society is a sure bet against discrimination, inequality and indifference towards less fortunate in the community. Hence it was always a mission for churches all over the world to provide educational facilities to all.
Kerala's main export is human power. If we can enhance the quality of human power fortifying it with excellent education, the returns for the family and the nation and the prestige it brings will be enormous. The St. Ignatius Orthodox Church, Kaipattoor, which is now a Maha Edavaka, has felt the need of an English Medium School for the benefit of the local community and started the St. Gregorios English Medium School which has now grown in to a senior secondary school affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. Profit is not our motive.
